About Us
Our history
Our story began in November 1964, when Gunnar Bäck opened the first flower house in Finland, Porvoon Kukkatalo, in Porvoo. At the time, the concept was entirely new, as there were no similar greenhouse flower shops in Finland.
Since the beginning of 2018, Porvoon Kukkatalo Oy has been jointly owned by Gunnar Bäck’s daughter, Ann-Len Bäck, together with Camilla Hindsberg, Satu Nurmi, Sari Harjaluoma, and Mervi Korkolainen-Nyqvist. Each of the owners brings 20–30 years of professional experience in the floral industry, ensuring that the company continues to combine tradition, expertise, and a passion for flowers.
Our values
Our customers' satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do – without you, there would be no us.
We operate responsibly and continuously make choices that benefit the environment. Whenever possible, we favour Finnish products and producers, and we are constantly seeking more sustainable materials and packaging solutions.
We want to play an active role in building a thriving Porvoo. We are always happy to collaborate with local businesses and community organisations, as we believe that by working together, we can support one another and strengthen the vitality of our region.
